I was chatting with a friend when we realized that we have quite lost the human touch….and are embracing machines in a big way ! Subtracting the time you snore, probably 70% of your time is spent with one of the below,
1. Mobile phone, 2. Laptop and 3. TV set.
Technology has definitely made life easier and more exciting, but it pretty much dictates our spend patterns of time and space. The reamining 30% only goes into the necessary daily doings of life like gulping down or commuting. I can only see it getting worse in the future, making a complete veggie out of us. i Ponder if it is time for a down turn of tech. What do you think ?

With the kind of blog you write, you better use twitter.
well yeah human touch is missing! But lets put it this way technology helped us get in touch with a few those we probably wouldn’t have met otherwise and also helps us to keep up with them
I dont mind technology. It is us who developed it. And then it is benefiting us too. Can you imagine burning coal for warming your food today? or writing a letter and waiting for 15 days for your friend to reply?
@manish…am doin tht too
@pallavi/mayur….i am big fan of technology too…i aint against it…but i somehow felt that i probably am over using it….like i mentioned in one of my earlier posts, this gen of ours, having seen two different worlds are sometimes judgemental ! btw….it was fun to write a hand written letter to the girl with a pony in the first bench of my class n waiting for 15 days for a damn reply ! a poke or a scrap wud do now
i am a guy of the 90s remember
I agree with you to some extent. Technology has changed us in a lot of way. We have become lazy and impatient. But we cannot live without it either. So we should just keep up with the times.
@Mayur: Talking about coal…do you remember the phrase “History repeats itself”
Nice Theme Ranjit. By the way are you a post reforms guy? The 90s saw lot of changes that have contributed to the modern day India. I was a school going kid then and didn’t have much of a vision to know what extra ordinary is/was happening then. Thankfully when I understood the technology was already there… and I like any thing that gets evolved at each dawn break.
By the way, what did the girl with the pony reply?
@Patty: What about it?
I disagree. There is no need for turning down of tech. As it is, my top 3 gadgets would be 1. Laptop 2. iPod 3.
Technology is only there for enabling the individual. The human touch has not gone away, its being ignored. Take a different perspective on things and you will see that all those things are still there. You still come home and have food with your family. I hope you still talk with them
, those things havent gone anywhere. They are just being ignored.
PS – Nice theme!
